PHILADELPHIA, PA. — North Dakota State regained the top spot this week in the College Sports Journal Football Championship Subdivision Top-25 poll with a narrow 21-17 victory at Missouri State in Missouri Valley Football Conference play.

 

This marks the fourth straight week there has been a different No. 1 team.

 

Georgia Southern fell from first to seventh after suffering a 31-28 loss at home to Appalachian State.

Wildcats Regain No. 1 Spot Amongst Coaches In HBCU Football

PHILADELPHIA, PA — The defending national champion Winston-Salem State Rams completed a second-straight undefeated regular season and remained No. 1 in the Boxtorow national media poll, while the Bethune-Cookman Wildcats regained the top spot in the coaches’ poll.

 

After occupying the top spot in the coaches’ poll two weeks ago the Wildcats were clearly the favorite this week, garnering 13 of 17 first place votes.  

 

Bethune-Cookman had 24 more points than No. 2 Arkansas-Pine Bluff, which was No. 3 last week.

Tennessee State Remains Undefeated, No. 1 In HBCU Football

PHILADELPHIA, PA. — The Tennessee State Tigers did it again.

 

After a tough 40-28 victory on the road against Southeast Missouri, the Tigers retain the top spot in both the Boxtorow national media and coaches’ polls.

 

The Tigers remain undefeated and are now 3-0 in the Ohio Valley Conference.

 

The Tigers received 19 of 20 first place votes from the media and for the fourth-straight week were a unanimous selection of the coaches.

PHILADELPHIA, PA. — After the craziest weekend of the 2012 Football Championship Subdivision season, Eastern Washington has emerged as the No. 1 team in the College Sports Journal weekly Top-25 poll.

 

Eastern Washington (5-1 overall, 4-0 in league) survived on the road for a 27-24 victory over Montana State in a Big Sky Conference showdown and was rewarded by vaulting from seventh to first in the new poll, narrowly edging out No. 2 James Madison.

 

JMU barely hung on for a win at home against William & Mary, 27-26 in double overtime to remain at No. 2.
