What is worse is that NIL is in high school sports as well, at least in Georgia. Whoever came up with that idea either has no training in child development or is ignorant/stupid when it comes to the mental health crisis of high school students and student-athletes.

You wan to get young people out? Have a food truck festival outside. Tie a ticket to a truck ticket for a food selection. Charge the students a very cheap rate that will surely lose Lehigh money but also sell adult same concept tickets for more…. And allow the food to get inside. Social media and tech have made “events” nothing but “backgrounds” – they’ll wander in the game for some photos eating a taco… and maybe 10% will actually realize there is a nice place to spend a few hours outside even if you don’t like sports. Pretty sure 1/2 of current students do not even know where the stadium is located… I went to Pitt… we had to bus to Heinz field. Fun atmosphere but boarding a bus didn’t always attract as many students as it should… it’s the weekend… no one wants to be in a bus line in the cold at 8am. Time to get creative
