Below are the Top 25 rankings based on the Sagarin rankings for the week ending November 5th, 2022. CSJ will show weekly rankings from the Sagarin rankings throughout the season and will have a final ranking after the national championship game in January.

South Dakota State remains in the top position after its narrow win over Northern Iowa on the road. Sacramento State stays in the #2 position after its narrow win at Weber State. North Dakota State stays at the #3 position after its lopsided win at Western Illinois. Montana moves up a spot to the #4 spot after defeating Cal Poly at home in Big Sky play. Weber State moves down a spot to the #5 spot following that Sacramento State loss.

Please note that FBS transitioning teams of Sam Houston and Jacksonville State will be a part of the FCS Sagarin rankings this year, while James Madison will be with the Group of Five rankings. This is due to the conference that each play in. Sam Houston and Jacksonville State will remain members of a FCS conference this fall, while James Madison is part of a FBS conference.
