College Sports Journal Sagarin FBS G5 Top 25 – Nov. 7

Here are the Top 25 FBS Group of Five (G5) rankings based on the Sagarin rankings for the week ending Nov. 7th, 2020. BYU stays at the top spot following its win at Boise State this week. Boise State drops to fifth following the loss after being second last week. Cincinnati moves up a spot after its big home win against Houston to the second spot.

The other undefeated G5 teams (that have played at least three games) are located at the following positions: Marshall at #4, Coastal Carolina at #7, San Jose State at #16, Liberty at #17, and Nevada at #21.

All G5 schools with the exception Old Dominion, New Mexico State, and Connecticut are eligible for this poll. Those schools are not playing this fall due to COVID-19.

CSJ will show weekly rankings from the Sagarin rankings throughout the season and will have a final ranking after the national championship game in January.

Sagarin rankings provide the only rankings that actually ranks all Division I schools but our rankings will show just the FBS G5 side of things and have been used for several years with his own computer ranking system to distinguish strength of schedule and strength of team when comparing teams.

In the rankings, you will see the the G5 rankings first and the overall Division I ranking to the right of the the G5 ranking.

The Top 10 and Top 30 are the overall Division I Sagarin rankings.
