Below are the Top 25 rankings based on the Sagarin rankings for the week ending November 12th, 2022. CSJ will show weekly rankings from the Sagarin rankings throughout the season and will have a final ranking after the national championship game in January.

South Dakota State remains in the top position after its last regular season win over Illinois State. Montana moves up two spots to the #2 position after its easy win at home over Eastern Washington. Sacramento State moves down a spot to the #3 position despite the Hornets easy win at Portland State. North Dakota State moves down a spot to the #4 spot despite the Bison road win at Southern Illinois. Weber State stays at the #5 spot following the Wildcats easy win over Idaho State.

Please note that FBS transitioning teams of Sam Houston and Jacksonville State will be a part of the FCS Sagarin rankings this year, while James Madison will be with the Group of Five rankings. This is due to the conference that each play in. Sam Houston and Jacksonville State will remain members of a FCS conference this fall, while James Madison is part of a FBS conference.
