FCS Fans Nation Broadcast Media Top 25, 10/3/2022

CHENEY, WA – The Colonial Athletic Association surged this week in the FCS Broadcast Media Top 25 in Week 5 of the FCS football season.

Newcomers Elon surged in the poll, entering at No 14, while former a former Top 10, Villanova, re-entered the poll this week at No. 24.

Elon’s surge came from an impressive double-overtime 30-27 win over Richmond (No. 23), while Villanova re-asserted their place in the CAA hierarchy with a resounding 45-20 win over Maine. Delaware (No. 6) dominated Towson 24-10 to keep their place in the poll, and rounding out the CAA members in the Top 25, William and Mary (No. 19) overcame an early deficit and defeated Stony Brook 24-10.

Overall Chattanooga (No. 9) is the only new member of the Top 10 after their 24-16 win over East Tennessee State. They replaced Missouri State, who fell 11 spots to No. 20 after their 48-31 loss to previously unranked North Dakota. The Fighting Hawks, after falling out of the Top 25 last week, re-entered the poll this week at No. 23.
