All that ends well. Memphis was the top ranked College Football Playoff Top 25 Group of Five going into the championship weekend with Boise State, Cincinnati, and Appalachian State as the other three teams in the rankings.

Memphis played Cincinnati in the the American Association title game at home and held on to win the AAC title. It seems likely on Sunday that the Tigers will get the New Year’s Six bid to the Cotton Bowl. But the rankings will be announced Sunday afternoon.

Both Boise State and Appalachian State also made their case for the Cotton Bowl bid with title game wins at home as well.

In the other two G5 title games, Florida Atlantic won easily in the Conference USA tilt, while Miami (OH) narrowly won the MAC crown.

The other news was for a couple of G5 conference title winners was their losses of head coaches. Memphis coach Mike Norvell will be named the new Florida State head coach, while FAU coach Lane Kiffin has been hired at Mississippi.

Below are the recaps and video highlights of the five G5 title games.
