
In this unique year with COVID-19, the college football season still played on for the Group of Five. Some conferences like the Mid-American and the Mountain West Conferences joined the season late, while the American Athletic, Conference USA, and Sun Belt Conference started their seasons on time.
With COVID-19, several bowl game have been canceled including one that was scheduled to be played on Dec. 19th in the Frisco Bowl due to SMU having a COVID-19 breakout. Their opponent of UTSA opted to play in another game–the First Responder’s Bowl.
The list of other canceled bowl games for all of college football is as follows:

The first bowl game will be played now on Dec. 21st with Appalachian State playing North Texas. After the final College Football Playoff rankings later today (Dec. 20th), the other bowl games will be announced.
