Indiana State was the lone MVFC squad to decide to not play any game in the spring 2021 schedule. The Sycamores will be the first MVFC team to play this fall with a game at home in Week 0 versus the Ohio Valley’s Eastern Illinois. The Sycamores did not play any games then last fall or in the spring so they might be the most questionable team coming into the fall 2021 team.
Head coach Curt Mallory enters year five of his tenure for the Sycamores. He will be relying on veteran leaders to help set the tone for youngers players.
Two of the veterans ISU will need to help the younger members are junior WR Dante Hendrix who led the team in receiving with 653 yards two years ago. As well as senior defensive lineman Inoke Moala, who finished with three and a half sacks and 31 total tackles.
The offensive line also could be a strength and led by Isaiah Edwards, who will provide the necessary time for the pass game to gain traction.
