College Sports Journal Sagarin Mid-Major Men’s Basketball Top 25 – Feb. 13
Below are the Top 25 Mid-Major rankings based on the Sagarin rankings for the week ending Feb. 13th, 2022.
Belmont stays in the top position this week. The Bruins defeated its two Ohio Valley opponents in Morehead State and Southeast Missouri State this past week.
Current OVC rival Murray State stays at the #2 spot. The Racers defeated Tennessee State and Morehead State in OVC play this past week.
Toledo moves up a spot to the #3 position this week. The Rockets move up after defeated Ohio and Northern Illinois in MAC play last week.
South Dakota State moves down one position this week to the fourth position despite the Jackrabbits staying undefeated in Summit League play this past week. SDSU defeated Denver and Omaha on the road this past week.
Chattanooga stays in the #5 spot in this poll this week. The Mocs defeated Western Carolina and Furman in SoCon play this past week.
The Mid-Major conferences include America East, Atlantic Sun, Big Sky, Big South, Big West, Colonial, Horizon, Independents, Ivy, Metro Atlantic, Mid-American, Mid-Eastern, Northeast, Ohio Valley, Patriot, Southern, Southland, Southwestern, Summit, Sun Belt, and Western Athletic conferences.
Sagarin rankings provide the only rankings that actually ranks all Division I schools but our rankings will show just the Mid-Major side of things and have been used for several years with his own computer ranking system to distinguish strength of schedule and strength of team when comparing teams.
In the rankings, you will see the the Mid-Major rankings first and the overall Division I ranking to the right of the the Mid-Major ranking.

Originally from LaMoure, North Dakota, Kent is a 1996 graduate of North Dakota State University.
