13 - 63
Bobcat Stadium

Montana State 63, Morehead State 13

Highlights: Available

Morehead State was unable to stop the Bobcat Attack. Montana State had an elite rushing and passing attack with 292 yards on the ground and 295 through the air and both sides scoring four touchdowns. The Bobcats have found a gadget role for ex Wyoming QB Sean Chambers as a dangerous runner and decent passer. Additionally, young Taco Dowler got some spotlight as he returned a punt 67 yards for a touchdown.

Sean Chambers, QB/RB, 3/7 for 30 yards 2 TD 2 INT and 7 rushes for 127 yards 2 TD

Kenneth Eiden IV, , 7 tackles 2 TFL 2 Sacks 1 pass break-up

7 - 24
Washington-Grizzly Stadium

Montana 24, South Dakota 7

Highlights: Available

Montana’s Lucas Johnson continues to be the leader this Griz team needs him to be. Johnson accounted for all three of the Griz touchdowns and also registered as their leading rusher. Despite losing the turnover battle, Montana was still able to put up 351 yards on the South Dakota Yotes.

Lucas Johnson, QB, 23/29 for 198 yards 1 TD 1 INT and 13 rushes for 72 yards 2 TD

Patrick O’Connell, LB, 10 tackles 2 TFL 1.5 sacks

6 - 52
Husky Stadium (Washington)

Washington 52, Portland State 6

Highlights: Available

Portland State hoped to repeat Montana’s success of last season at University of Washington. Unfortunate for the Vikings as they were toppled by a consistent pounding from the Huskies. Portland State’s 131 offensive yards were dwarfed by Washington’s 617.

Jalynnee McGee, RB, 12 rushes for 58 yards

Tyreese Shakir, DB, 5 tackles 1 INT

10 - 33
War Memorial Stadium (Wyoming)

Wyoming 33, Northern Colorado 10

Highlights: Available

Northern Colorado kept the game a lot closer than the final score reflects. Until about 7 minutes left in the fourth quarter the Bears were still within a score of the Cowboys at 16-10. With injuries building up, fatigue from the 7,220 elevation and overall frustration the Bears allowed 17 points in the span of five minutes. The Cowboys were held off a respectable amount, but still eventually trampled the Bears.

Jacob Sirmon, QB, 12/27 for 91 yards 1 INT and 1 Philly Special catch for 6 yards 1 TD

Elijah Anderson-Taylor, LB, 12 tackles 1 Forced Fumble

27 - 28
Alex G. Spanos Stadium

Cal Poly 28, San Diego 27

Highlights: Available

San Diego tried their best to steal a game in their 10th appearance against Cal Poly, but the Mustangs had a miracle ride left in them. The location based rivalry has been lopsided lately due to the talent difference between the two conferences. This time the Torreros had a great start by getting a 17-0 lead, yet Cal Poly found a way to overcome.

Jaden Jones, QB, 27/44 for 393 yards 4 TD and 13 rushes for 26 yards

Jay’Vion Cole, CB, 1 tackle 2 INT

10 - 3
Bowers Stadium

Northern Arizona 10, Sam Houston 3

Highlights: Available

Northern Arizona avenged last year’s embarrassing loss to Sam Houston State this past Saturday 10-3. The Lumberjacks battled the future FBS Bearcats very tough with RJ Martinez running in the game’s only touchdown.

RJ Martinez, QB, 27/41 for 214 yards 1 INT and 9 rushes for 8 yards 1 TD

Kwete Cosmas, DL, 6 tackles 1.5 TFL .5 Sack 1 INT

35 - 7
Maverik Stadium

Weber State 35, Utah State 7

Highlights: Available

Weber State absolutely dominated FBS Utah State and picked up the Wildcats first FBS win since 1993. The Wildcats pitched an offensive shut out against the Aggies with only allowing a 100 yard kick return touchdown. Utah State went 0/3 in Weber State’s end zone, had 45 yards less than Weber, and gave up 55 more yards due to penalties.

Ty MacPherson, WR, 3 catches for 89 yards and 2 TD

Desmond Williams, , 6 tackles 1 INT 1 pass break-up 1 Return TD

22 - 35
Memorial Stadium (Indiana)

Indiana 35, Idaho 22

Highlights: Available

Idaho had a second impressive loss against an FBS opponent as the Vandals led the Hoosiers 10-0 at halftime. A third quarter breakdown is the only thing that kept the Vandals from stealing a win over the Big Ten team. The fourth quarter was balanced in scoring and the Grumpy Joe fan base victory party was spoiled again by a respectable 13 point loss.

Gevani McCoy, QB, 13/23 for 204 yards 3 TD and 12 rushes for 21 yards

Fa’Avae Fa’Avae, LB, 12 tackles

7 - 38
Dignity Health Sports Park

San Diego State 38, Idaho State 7

Highlights: Available

Idaho State was squashed by FBS San Diego State 38-7. A quick 75 yard pass from Tyler Vander-Wal helped spark the Bengals, but Vander-Wal left the game shortly after due to injury. The talent depth behind the ex-Wyoming transfer has not been performing well in the non-conference and will need to improve quickly to survive the conference competition.

Xavier Guillory, WR, 3 catches for 94 yards 1 TD

Jack Genova, LB, 7 tackles 1 TFL

14 - 70
Autzen Stadium

Oregon 70, Eastern Washington 14

Highlights: Available

Eastern Washington did their best against FBS Oregon in a money game that really doesn’t matter much other than the check and the exposure for Eastern Washington. Oregon was set on revenge after losing in a blowout loss to FBS Georgia last week and definitely took it out on the Eagles defense. Despite the vast difference in talent levels gunner Talkington was still able to force several good drives and two touchdowns on the Ducks.

Gunner Talkington, QB, 12/21 for 87 yards 2 TD 2 INT and 8 rushes for 22 yards

Ely Doyle, DB, 7 tackles

22 - 24
Dykhouse Stadium

South Dakota State 24, UC Davis 22

Highlights: Available

UC Davis battled back in their rematch vs. South Dakota State, but fell a two point conversion short of tying the game. While UC Davis didn’t beat the jackrabbits the showing was much improved compared to their lopsided loss in the playoffs last year.

Miles Hastings, QB, 26/43 for 273 yards 3 TD 1 INT

Rex Connors, , 17 tackles 2 INT
