College Sports Journal Patriot League Football Conference Game Previews: Week of 11/9/2019
Holy Cross will be trying to cement their hold on the top of the Patriot League standings when they host Lafayette this weekend. They could clinch at least a share of the title and FCS Playoff autobid if they win and Lehigh loses at Bucknell.

Fearless Predictions
Lafayette (2-8, 2-1) at Holy Cross (4-4, 3-0), Saturday November 9th, 12:00 PM, Fitton Field, Worcester, MA, Patriot League Network
Incredibly, the Leopards, with a two game winning streak, would put themselves in the driver’s seat for the Patriot League title and autobid should they win – they’d be 3-1 in the league, and a pair of wins away from winning the conferernce. At home, though, Holy Cross should be more be up for the challenge. Holy Cross 31, Lafayette 14
Lehigh (4-4, 3-1) at Bucknell (1-7, 1-2), Saturday November 9th, 1:00 PM, Christy Matthewson Stadium, Lewisburg, PA, Stadium OTA Network
You can read our preview of the game here and a more in-depth preview here. Lehigh is hoping that they can win out and have a chance at a co-championship, or, in the best case scenario, the Patriot League title, but they’ll need Holy Cross to stumble twice to do so. A tricky game against Bucknell awaits, in a game that will be the Bison’s Super Bowl. Can Lehigh regroup enough to put away the Bison? On paper, yes, but this seems destined to be yet another nail-biter. Lehigh 27, Bucknell 13
Fordham (3-6 ,1-2) at Colgate (2-8, 1-3), Saturday November 9th, 1:00 PM, Andy Kerr Stadium, Hamilton, NY, Patriot League Network
In the preseason, this game looked like one to circle on the calendar, but with Colgate’s stunning collapse and Fordham’s two game losing streak where they lost by a grand total of six points, it’s not any longer. It’s hard to see Fordham win this game in cold, snowy Hamilton. Colgate 31, Fordham 20
