College Sports Journal Sagarin FCS Top 25–FINAL Spring 2021

Below are the final Top 25 rankings based on the Sagarin rankings for the Division I FCS Spring 2021 schedule. These rankings are amongst all the FCS teams that participated with at least three games in the spring schedule and includes teams that may have opted out of the season.

NOTE: the Ivy League and Mid-Eastern (MEAC) conferences are not participating in the 2021 spring schedule, although three teams in the MEAC are playing.  

Sam Houston State takes the top spot after the Bearkats won their first ever Division I football title Sunday over South Dakota State.

South Dakota State finishes in the second spot following that defeat in the national title game to Sam Houston State.

Monmouth, North Dakota, and North Dakota State finish in the top five rankings.

Sagarin rankings provide the only rankings that actually ranks all Division I schools but our rankings will show just the FCS side of things and have been used for several years with his own computer ranking system to distinguish strength of schedule and strength of team when comparing teams.

In the rankings, you will see the the FCS rankings first and the overall Division I ranking to the right of the the FCS ranking.

The Top 10 and Top 30 are the overall Division I Sagarin rankings.
