College Sports Journal Sagarin FCS Top 25–Mar. 21

Below are the Top 25 rankings based on the Sagarin rankings for the week ending March 21st. These rankings are amongst the now 91 schools (Illinois State just announced it will forgo the rest of its spring schedule) participating in the spring schedule.

NOTE: the Ivy League and Mid-Eastern (MEAC) conferences are not participating in the 2021 spring schedule.  

North Dakota State stays at the top spot this week with its impressive home win over North Dakota this week.

South Dakota State moves up to the #2 spot with its blowout win at Southern Illinois this week.

Weber State moves down to the #3 spot after having a bye this week.

UC Davis moves into the #4 spot after is big win at home over Cal Poly this week.

CSJ will show weekly rankings from the Sagarin rankings throughout the season and will have a final ranking after the national championship game in May.

Sagarin rankings provide the only rankings that actually ranks all Division I schools but our rankings will show just the FCS side of things and have been used for several years with his own computer ranking system to distinguish strength of schedule and strength of team when comparing teams.

In the rankings, you will see the the FCS rankings first and the overall Division I ranking to the right of the the FCS ranking.

The numbers show the ranking in the FCS Top 25 as well as the overall Division I ranking.

The Top 10 and Top 30 are the overall Division I Sagarin rankings.
