Five bowl games involving Group of Five teams occurred after Christmas from Dec. 26 to Jan. 1 to finish the football season within the Group of Five.

Well, actually only four occurred with the cancellation of the First Responder Bowl in Dallas due incriminate weather.

The four games that were played included undefeated UCF but the Knights playing as this year’s New Year’s Six participant. The Knights played valiantly without All-American quarterback McKenzie Milton but fell to LSU in the Fiesta Bowl. The loss ended the FBS nation’s current longest winning streak at 25.

The biggest win was Cincinnati defeating Virginia Tech in the Military Bowl of the four games.

But the best game was the only one that involved two Group of Five schools with an overtime win for Nevada over Arkansas State in the Arizona Bowl.

Of all the bowls involving Group of Five schools versus Power Five schools, the G5 teams finished with a 2-3 record against the P5.

Below are recaps and video highlights of each game over this past week. Also, see links below these to the first two weeks of Group of Five bowl action recaps.
