This week was the weekend of Hurricane Delta. The highly anticipated match-up of two undefeated Sun Belt teams in Louisiana and Coastal Carolina was to happen this Saturday but that game was moved to next week Wednesday. But the weekend was still full of great action with two American Athletic Conference teams finally getting on.
It was upset week in the American Athletic Conference this week with two of the predicted contenders going down. Both UCF and Memphis took losses but the other contender now looks like the top pick in Cincinnati to win the league. SMU won a see-saw contents over Memphis as the Mustangs hit a late field.
This week we got the news of the two previously called-off conferences of the Mountain West and Mid-American Conferences making a return to play this fall. The Mountain West will follow what last week the Big 10 completed with a return to play on Oct. 24th and each school is intended to play eight games.
