CSJ’s FBS G5 Week 3 Game of the Week and Fearless Predictions
The FBS G5 game of the week pits the American against the MAC this week with two top 16 CSJ Sagarin Top 25 ranked facing each other. I am changing up my picks a little and will use these rankings for this week and will use these in future previews.
All the top 10 in our rankings will have home games this week with two hosting AP Top 25 ranked teams. It should be an interesting week.
CSJ FBS G5 GAME OF THE WEEK
#16 Tulsa (1-1, 0-0 AAC) at #4 Toledo (2-0, 0-0 MAC), Saturday, 6:00pm EDT
Glass Bowl, Toledo, Ohio

Toledo has begun the season 2-0 for the third consecutive season after a 37-24 victory at Nevada last week. Senior quarterback Logan Woodside threw for 232 yards and two touchdowns, while senior wide receiver Cody Thompson caught a career-high eight passes for 101 yards to lead the Rockets. Senior running back Terry Swanson ran for 101 yards added two touchdowns to the cause.
Toledo outgained the Wolfpack in total yards, 426-386, and never trailed in the contest. The Rockets, who led by as many as 17 points in both halves, also forced two key turnovers in the second half.
Tulsa is coming off a 66-42 shootout over Louisiana on Saturday. The Golden Hurricane put up 667 yards of total offense in the contest, including an incredible 442 rushing yards. Senior D’Angelo Brewer rushed for 262 yards and three touchdowns on 38 carries. Sophomore quarterback Chad President completed 14-of-20 passes for 243 yards and one score. Tulsa’s loss came at Big 12 Oklahoma State, 59-24, in its season opener.
These two teams will be playing for the third time in each’s history with road victories for each. Toledo won at Tulsa in 1962 but lost at home in 1964.
