Wow, it it good to have a full week of football back this year. Last year, we had the Mountain West and Mid-America Conferences postpone their starts to the season and also had a couple teams not play at all last fall due to the COVID-19 pandemic. And had another play in the spring. Yes, […]
What a first week of bowl action of the first ten bowl games of the season! Two games really caught my attention in UCF playing BYU and Coastal Carolina playing Liberty this week before the games started. BYU throttled UCF 49-23 in what looks to be QB Zach Wilson’s final collegiate game in the Boca […]

Week 1 had its share of highlights and upsets with the Group of Five. The biggest suprise had to go to Georgia State defeating the SEC’s Tennessee. I will go through my Top 5 G5 wins over Power Five schools this week and add in a couple of great G5 vs. G5 match-ups in this […]
The Mountain West Conference was ranked as the top Group of Five conference last year with Boise State and Fresno State definitely the class of the league the last two seasons. The Broncos and Bulldogs have met in the MW Championship game the past two years.
Nevada played a very hot and cold 2018. When playing the lower tier conference opponents the games were stunted offensively. On the flip side, it was a slug fest of offensive will powers when playing the mid tier conference opponents.
Arkansas State is playing in a bowl for an eighth straight season– the third longest streak in the Group of 5 and ranks 15th in the nation among all FBS programs. Overall, this is the 16th bowl in the program’s history and own a 7-7-1 record all-time.
